I’m not sure if Sundays are the best for these but I love a little rundown. As a writer and a librarian I always want to know what you’re reading and after dinner something is playing on the screen so let’s get into it. Maybe we can chat about these.

First up! I’m reading Marriage and Masti by Nisha Sharma. Nisha and I were mutuals on TikTok and who knows if the app will still be up this time next week, but I’ve never read any of her adult romances and I picked this one up on sale. Gotta watch those Kindle deals people. It follows Veera and Deepak in a friends to lovers, fake marriage plot set in a multi-national company where Deepak is gunning for the CEO spot and Veera is reeling from being pushed out months ago in a merger. On a scale of 5 chili peppers where 1 is a tongue kiss and 5 requires an NDA, It’s a 3.5. Lots of dirty talk, but the best parts for me was learning about all the marriage ceremonies for Hindu brides.
I’ve been listening to Bad Bunny’s new album Debi Tirar Mas Fotos. I love a little salsa and this hits all the spots for me. Do I speak Spanish? No. Did I hit a salsa two step while shelving books this Friday? Yes, I did.
Finally, I watched Never Too Much, the new documentary by CNN about Luther Vandross. Did you know he sang backup for Bette Midler and David Bowie. He credits them for developing his sense of showmanship on stage. He also designed all of the beautiful suits and dresses the backup dancers wore on stage. It was a blast from the past for me because he was on Sesame Street and Luther was always playing in my house as a kid. I played Luther in my wedding. Now, it is a trial actually finding this documentary to stream so I’m hoping CNN rectifies that soon. If you can, check it out.
